Replacement Parts

Each Iron Bay kit has on average over 100 parts.  Some are simple off-the-shelf hardware items, but many are custom manufactured and are specific to that aircraft.  We try to maintain an inventory of each when possible. 

 

While it is typical in this industry for a manufacturer to discontinue a product and stop supporting it after only a few years, we continue to provide parts for many older kits that would be otherwise obsolete.

Another reason that we continue to carry replacement parts is that unlike so many other kits on the market, our aircraft are typically more durable.  It is common knowledge that a fiberglass/foam composite aircraft will survive a  less than perfect landing or impact far better than a wood kit.  As such, many customers only call for cosmetic parts needed to get their bird back in the air

We have both high-volume automated manufacturing processes and low-volume hand-laid composite processes, and maintain stringent quality control throughout to insure the integrity of the components.
